What data synchronises

See which entries and settings synchronise, what to check separately and how to run manual or background sync in Smart Bible.

On this page

Synchronisation transfers entries and supported settings between devices using one account in the same app. A phone’s changes must reach the cloud, then the other device. Signing in alone does not confirm completion.

Run a manual sync

  1. Connect to the internet.
  2. Open More → Account & sync.
  3. Check the account. If you see Sign in with Google, sign in first.
  4. Tap Sync Now.
  5. Wait for completion and check the operation history.

For transfer, do this on the device holding the entries, then on the second device. Check a specific note or bookmark afterwards.

Check separately

The translation list and Bible files are different things. Open each needed translation after transfer and wait for downloading before using it offline.

The chosen voice setting does not install Android voice data. You may need to choose or install a voice on the new phone.

Overall reading-time statistics, streaks and manual chapter marks are not included in this exchange list. They differ from plan progress and reading pins.

Enable automatic updates

Enable Background Auto-sync on the account screen. The app can exchange data in the background, though Android may restrict it. Before switching phones, run manual sync and check the result.

If the history shows an error

Record its text and time, then follow sync troubleshooting. Clear history removes the operation log; it does not retry sync or recover missing entries.
