Smart Bible 3.2.11 brings a redesigned Bible index that makes it easier to move through Scripture without losing your place.
List or Grid
The index now has two modes:
- List keeps the familiar book list and expands chapters and verses inside the selected book.
- Grid gives you a faster book → chapter → verse path when you want to jump directly to a passage.
Your last selected mode is saved and synced with your app settings.
Faster chapter and verse selection
Both modes now use the same chapter and verse flow. You can choose whether Smart Bible should ask for a verse after selecting a chapter, or open the first verse immediately.
This setting is available from the index menu and syncs across your devices.
Highlight Bible sections
The Grid mode can highlight Bible sections such as the Pentateuch, History, Wisdom, Prophets, Gospels, Epistles, and more. This makes it easier to scan the structure of the Bible at a glance.
Section highlighting is enabled by default and can be changed from the index menu.
Smoother navigation
The index now feels more responsive:
- swipe between List and Grid modes;
- collapse and expand Old Testament and New Testament sections;
- use breadcrumbs in Grid mode to return to books or chapters;
- enjoy smoother transitions, better sticky headers, and light haptic feedback for key actions.
We also improved accessibility labels and fixed several small layout and animation issues in the index.
