A Song or Psalm of David.
1 O God, my heart is fixed;
I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
Ee Mungu, moyo wangu u thabiti, Nitaimba, nitaimba zaburi, Naam, kwa utukufu wangu.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp:
I myself will awake early.
Amka, kinanda na kinubi, Nitaamka alfajiri.
3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people:
And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
Ee Bwana, nitakushukuru kati ya watu, Nitakuimbia zaburi kati ya mataifa.
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens:
And thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
Maana fadhili zako ni kubwa hata mbinguni, Na uaminifu wako hata mawinguni.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
And thy glory above all the earth;
Ee Mungu, utukuzwe juu ya mbingu, Na juu ya nchi yote uwe utukufu wako.
6 That thy beloved may be delivered:
Save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Ili wapenzi wako waopolewe, Uokoe kwa mkono wako wa kuume, uniitikie.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness;
I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Mungu amenena kwa utakatifu wake, Nami nitashangilia. Nitaigawanya Shekemu, Nitalipima bonde la Sukothi.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim also is the strength of mine head;
Judah is my lawgiver;
Gileadi ni yangu, na Manase ni yangu, Na Efraimu ni nguvu ya kichwa changu. Yuda ni fimbo yangu ya kifalme,
9 Moab is my washpot;
Over Edom will I cast out my shoe; Over Philistia will I triumph.
Moabu ni bakuli langu la kunawia. Nitamtupia Edomu kiatu changu, Na kumpigia Filisti kelele za vita.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city?
Who will lead me into Edom?
Ni nani atakayenipeleka hata mji wenye boma? Ni nani atakayeniongoza hata Edomu?
11 Wilt not thou , O God, who hast cast us off?
And wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
Ee Mungu, si Wewe uliyetutupa? Wala, Ee Mungu, hutoki na majeshi yetu?
12 Give us help from trouble:
For vain is the help of man.
Utuletee msaada juu ya mtesi, Maana wokovu wa binadamu haufai.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly:
For he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Kwa msaada wa Mungu tutatenda makuu, Maana Yeye atawakanyaga watesi wetu.
