1 Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
Bwana akafuliza kumjibu Ayubu, na kusema,
2 Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him?
He that reproveth God, let him answer it.
Je! Mwenye hoja atashindana na Mwenyezi? Mwenye kujadiliana na Mungu, na ajibu yeye.
Job's Reply
3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
Ndipo Ayubu akamjibu Mungu, na kusema,
4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee?
I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
Tazama, mimi si kitu kabisa, nikujibu nini? Naweka mkono wangu kinywani pangu.
5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer:
Yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
Nimenena mara moja, nami sitajibu; Naam, nimenena mara mbili, lakini sitaendelea zaidi.
The Lord's Answer
6 Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Ndipo Bwana akamjibu Ayubu katika upepo wa kisulisuli, na kusema,
7 Gird up thy loins now like a man:
I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Jifunge viuno kama mwanamume, Mimi nitakuuliza neno, nawe niambie.
8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment?
Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
Je! Hata hukumu yangu utaibatilisha? Utanitia mimi hatiani, upate kuhesabiwa haki?
9 Hast thou an arm like God?
Or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Au je! Wewe una mkono kama Mungu? Waweza kutoa ngurumo kwa sauti kama yeye?
10 Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency;
And array thyself with glory and beauty.
Haya! Jivike sasa fahari na ukuu; Jipambe heshima na enzi.
11 Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath:
And behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
Mwaga mafuriko ya hasira zako, Ukamtazame kila mtu mwenye kiburi, ukamdhili.
12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low;
And tread down the wicked in their place.
Mtazame kila mtu mwenye kiburi ukamshushe, Ukawakanyage waovu hapo wasimamapo.
13 Hide them in the dust together;
And bind their faces in secret.
Wafiche mavumbini pamoja, Wafunge nyuso zao mahali palipositirika.
14 Then will I also confess unto thee
That thine own right hand can save thee.
Ndipo mimi nami nitazikiri habari zako, Ya kuwa mkono wako wa kuume waweza kukuokoa.
15 Behold now behemoth,
Which I made with thee;
He eateth grass as an ox.
Mwangalie huyo kiboko, niliyemwumba pamoja nawe; Yeye hula nyasi kama vile ng'ombe,
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins,
And his force is in the navel of his belly.
Tazama basi, nguvu zake ni katika viuno vyake, Na uwezo wake u katika mishipa ya tumbo lake.
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar:
The sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
Yeye hutikisa mkia wake mfano wa mwerezi; Mishipa ya mapaja yake yanaungamana pamoja.
18 His bones are as strong pieces of brass;
His bones are like bars of iron.
Mifupa yake ni kama mirija ya shaba; Mbavu zake ni kama vipande vya chuma.
19 He is the chief of the ways of God:
He that made him can make his sword to approach unto him .
Yeye ni mkuu wa njia za Mungu; Yeye aliyemfanya alimpa upanga wake.
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food,
Where all the beasts of the field play.
Hakika milima humtolea chakula; Hapo wachezapo wanyama wote wa barani.
21 He lieth under the shady trees,
In the covert of the reed, and fens.
Hulala chini ya miti yenye vivuli, Mafichoni penye mianzi, na matopeni.
22 The shady trees cover him with their shadow;
The willows of the brook compass him about.
Hiyo miti yenye vivuli humfunika kwa vivuli vyao; Mierebi ya vijito humzunguka.
23 Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not:
He trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
Tazama, mto ukifurika, yeye hatetemeki; Hujiona yu salama, ijapokuwa Yordani hufurika hata kinywani pake.
24 He taketh it with his eyes:
His nose pierceth through snares.
Je! Mtu ye yote atamnasa akiwa yu macho, Au, kumtoboa pua yake kwa mtego?
