To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble;
The name of the God of Jacob defend thee;
Bwana akujibu siku ya dhiki, Jina la Mungu wa Yakobo likuinue.
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary,
And strengthen thee out of Zion;
Akupelekee msaada toka patakatifu pake, Na kukutegemeza toka Sayuni.
3 Remember all thy offerings,
And accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.
Azikumbuke sadaka zako zote, Na kuzitakabali dhabihu zako.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart,
And fulfil all thy counsel.
Akujalie kwa kadiri ya haja ya moyo wako, Na kuyatimiza mashauri yako yote.
5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners:
The LORD fulfil all thy petitions.
Na tuushangilie wokovu wako, Kwa jina la Mungu wetu tuzitweke bendera zetu. Bwana akutimizie matakwa yako yote.
6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; He will hear him from his holy heaven
With the saving strength of his right hand.
Sasa najua kuwa Bwana amwokoa masihi wake; Atamjibu kutoka mbingu zake takatifu.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses:
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Hawa wanataja magari na hawa farasi, Bali sisi tutalitaja jina la Bwana, Mungu wetu.
8 They are brought down and fallen:
But we are risen, and stand upright.
Wao wameinama na kuanguka, Bali sisi tumeinuka na kusimama.
9 Save, LORD:
Let the king hear us when we call.
Bwana, umwokoe mfalme, Utuitikie siku tuitayo.
