A Song of degrees of David.
1 I was glad when they said unto me,
Let us go into the house of the LORD.
Nalifurahi waliponiambia, Na twende nyumbani kwa Bwana.
2 Our feet shall stand
Within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Miguu yetu imesimama Ndani ya malango yako, Ee Yerusalemu.
3 Jerusalem is builded
As a city that is compact together:
Ee Yerusalemu uliyejengwa Kama mji ulioshikamana,
4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD,
Unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
Huko ndiko walikopanda kabila, Kabila za Bwana; Ushuhuda kwa Israeli, Walishukuru jina la Bwana.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.
Maana huko viliwekwa viti vya hukumu, Viti vya enzi vya mbari ya Daudi.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
They shall prosper that love thee.
Utakieni Yerusalemu amani; Na wafanikiwe wakupendao;
7 Peace be within thy walls,
And prosperity within thy palaces.
Amani na ikae ndani ya kuta zako, Na kufanikiwa ndani ya majumba yako.
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes,
I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Kwa ajili ya ndugu zangu na rafiki zangu Niseme sasa, Amani ikae nawe.
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God
I will seek thy good.
Kwa ajili ya nyumba ya Bwana, Mungu wetu, Nikutafutie mema.
