1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
Who walk in the law of the LORD.

2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies,
And that seek him with the whole heart.

3 They also do no iniquity:
They walk in his ways.

4 Thou hast commanded us
To keep thy precepts diligently.
Wewe umetuamuru mausia yako, Ili sisi tuyatii sana.
5 O that my ways were directed
To keep thy statutes!
Ningependa njia zangu ziwe thabiti, Nizitii amri zako.
6 Then shall I not be ashamed,
When I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Ndipo mimi sitaaibika, Nikiyaangalia maagizo yako yote.
7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
When I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
Nitakushukuru kwa unyofu wa moyo, Nikiisha kujifunza hukumu za haki yako
8 I will keep thy statutes:
O forsake me not utterly.
Nitazitii amri zako, Usiniache kabisa
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Jinsi gani kijana aisafishe njia yake? Kwa kutii, akilifuata neno lako.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments.
Kwa moyo wangu wote nimekutafuta, Usiniache nipotee mbali na maagizo yako.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
That I might not sin against thee.
Moyoni mwangu nimeliweka neno lako, Nisije nikakutenda dhambi.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD:
Teach me thy statutes.
Ee Bwana, umehimidiwa, Unifundishe amri zako.
13 With my lips have I declared
All the judgments of thy mouth.
Kwa midomo yangu nimezisimulia Hukumu zote za kinywa chako.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies,
As much as in all riches.
Nimeifurahia njia ya shuhuda zako Kana kwamba ni mali mengi.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts,
And have respect unto thy ways.
Nitayatafakari mausia yako, Nami nitaziangalia njia zako.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes:
I will not forget thy word.
Nitajifurahisha sana kwa amri zako, Sitalisahau neno lako.
17 Deal bountifully with thy servant,
That I may live, and keep thy word.
Umtendee mtumishi wako ukarimu, Nipate kuishi, nami nitalitii neno lako.
18 Open thou mine eyes,
That I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
Unifumbue macho yangu niyatazame Maajabu yatokayo katika sheria yako.
19 I am a stranger in the earth:
Hide not thy commandments from me.
Mimi ni mgeni katika nchi, Usinifiche maagizo yako.
20 My soul breaketh for the longing
That it hath unto thy judgments at all times.
Roho yangu imepondeka kwa kutamani Hukumu zako kila wakati.
21 Thou hast rebuked the proud
That are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.
Umewakemea wenye kiburi, Wamelaaniwa waendao mbali na maagizo yako.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt:
For I have kept thy testimonies.
Uniondolee laumu na dharau, Kwa maana nimezishika shuhuda zako.
23 Princes also did sit and speak against me:
But thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
Wakuu nao waliketi wakaninena, Lakini mtumishi wako atazitafakari amri zako.
24 Thy testimonies also are
My delight and my counsellors.
Shuhuda zako nazo ndizo furaha yangu, Na washauri wangu.
25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust:
Quicken thou me according to thy word.
Nafsi yangu imeambatana na mavumbi, Unihuishe sawasawa na neno lako.
26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me:
Teach me thy statutes.
Nalizisimulia njia zangu ukanijibu, Unifundishe amri zako.
27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts:
So shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
Unifahamishe njia ya mausia yako, Nami nitayatafakari maajabu yako.
28 My soul melteth for heaviness:
Strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
Nafsi yangu imeyeyuka kwa uzito, Unitie nguvu sawasawa na neno lako.
29 Remove from me the way of lying:
And grant me thy law graciously.
Uniondolee njia ya uongo, Unineemeshe kwa sheria yako.
30 I have chosen the way of truth:
Thy judgments have I laid before me .
Nimeichagua njia ya uaminifu, Na kuziweka hukumu zako mbele yangu.
31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies:
O LORD, put me not to shame.
Nimeambatana na shuhuda zako, Ee Bwana, usiniaibishe.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments,
When thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Nitakwenda mbio katika njia ya maagizo yako, Utakaponikunjua moyo wangu.
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes;
And I shall keep it unto the end.
Ee Bwana, unifundishe njia ya amri zako, Nami nitaishika hata mwisho.
34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law;
Yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Unifahamishe nami nitaishika sheria yako, Naam, nitaitii kwa moyo wangu wote.
35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments;
For therein do I delight.
Uniendeshe katika mapito ya maagizo yako, Kwa maana nimependezwa nayo.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,
And not to covetousness.
Unielekeze moyo wangu na shuhuda zako, Wala usiielekee tamaa.
37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity;
And quicken thou me in thy way.
Unigeuze macho yangu nisitazame visivyofaa, Unihuishe katika njia yako.
38 Stablish thy word
Unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.
Umthibitishie mtumishi wako ahadi yako, Inayohusu kicho chako.
39 Turn away my reproach which I fear:
For thy judgments are good.
Uniondolee laumu niiogopayo, Maana hukumu zako ni njema.
40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts:
Quicken me in thy righteousness.
Tazama, nimeyatamani mausia yako, Unihuishe kwa haki yako.
41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD,
Even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Ee Bwana, fadhili zako zinifikie na mimi, Naam, wokovu wako sawasawa na ahadi yako.
42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me:
For I trust in thy word.
Nami nitamjibu neno anilaumuye, Kwa maana nalitumainia neno lako.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth;
For I have hoped in thy judgments.
Usiliondoe neno la kweli kinywani mwangu kamwe, Maana nimezingojea hukumu zako.
44 So shall I keep
thy law continually for ever and ever.
Nami nitaitii sheria yako daima, Naam, milele na milele.
45 And I will walk at liberty:
For I seek thy precepts.
Nami nitakwenda panapo nafasi, Kwa kuwa nimejifunza mausia yako.
46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings,
And will not be ashamed.
Nitazinena shuhuda zako mbele ya wafalme, Wala sitaona aibu.
47 And I will delight myself
In thy commandments, which I have loved.
Nami nitajifurahisha sana kwa maagizo yako, Ambayo nimeyapenda.
48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved;
And I will meditate in thy statutes.
Na mikono yangu nitayainulia maagizo yako niliyoyapenda, Nami nitazitafakari amri zako.
49 Remember the word unto thy servant,
Upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
Likumbuke neno ulilomwambia mtumishi wako, Kwa sababu umenitumainisha.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction:
For thy word hath quickened me.
Hii ndiyo faraja yangu katika taabu yangu, Ya kwamba ahadi yako imenihuisha.
51 The proud have had me greatly in derision:
Yet have I not declined from thy law.
Wenye kiburi wamenidharau mno, Sikujiepusha na sheria zako.
52 I remembered thy judgments of old,
O LORD; And have comforted myself.
Nimezikumbuka hukumu zako za kale, Ee Bwana, nikajifariji.
53 Horror hath taken hold upon me
Because of the wicked that forsake thy law.
Ghadhabu imenishika kwa sababu ya wasio haki, Waiachao sheria yako.
54 Thy statutes have been my songs
In the house of my pilgrimage.
Amri zako zimekuwa nyimbo zangu, Katika nyumba ya ugeni wangu.
55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
Wakati wa usiku nimelikumbuka jina lako, Ee Bwana, nikaitii sheria yako.
56 This I had, because I kept thy precepts.
Hayo ndiyo niliyokuwa nayo, Kwa sababu nimeyashika mausia yako.
57 Thou art my portion, O LORD:
I have said that I would keep thy words.
Bwana ndiye aliye fungu langu, Nimesema kwamba nitayatii maneno yake.
58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart:
Be merciful unto me according to thy word.
Nimekuomba radhi kwa moyo wangu wote, Unifadhili sawasawa na ahadi yako.
59 I thought on my ways,
And turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
Nalizitafakari njia zangu, Na miguu yangu nalizielekezea shuhuda zako.
60 I made haste, and delayed not
To keep thy commandments.
Nalifanya haraka wala sikukawia, Kuyatii maagizo yako.
61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me:
But I have not forgotten thy law.
Kamba za wasio haki zimenifunga, Sikuisahau sheria yako.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee
Because of thy righteous judgments.
Katikati ya usiku nitaamka nikushukuru, Kwa sababu ya hukumu zako za haki.
63 I am a companion of all them
That fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
Mimi ni mwenzao watu wote wakuchao, Na wale wayatiio mausia yako.
64 The earth, O LORD, is full of
Thy mercy: Teach me thy statutes.
Bwana, dunia imejaa fadhili zako, Unifundishe amri zako.
65 Thou hast dealt well with thy servant,
O LORD, according unto thy word.
Umemtendea mema mtumishi wako, Ee Bwana, sawasawa na neno lako.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge:
For I have believed thy commandments.
Unifundishe akili na maarifa, Maana nimeyaamini maagizo yako.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray:
But now have I kept thy word.
Kabla sijateswa mimi nalipotea, Lakini sasa nimelitii neno lako.
68 Thou art good, and doest good;
Teach me thy statutes.
Wewe U mwema na mtenda mema, Unifundishe amri zako.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me:
But I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.
Wenye kiburi wamenizulia uongo, Kwa moyo wangu wote nitayashika mausia yako.
70 Their heart is as fat as grease;
But I delight in thy law.
Mioyo yao imenenepa kama shahamu, Mimi nimeifurahia sheria yako.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted;
That I might learn thy statutes.
Ilikuwa vema kwangu kuwa naliteswa, Nipate kujifunza amri zako.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me
Than thousands of gold and silver.
Sheria ya kinywa chako ni njema kwangu, Kuliko maelfu ya dhahabu na fedha.
73 Thy hands have made me and fashioned me:
Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
Mikono yako ilinifanya ikanitengeneza, Unifahamishe nikajifunze maagizo yako.
74 They that fear thee will be glad when they see me;
Because I have hoped in thy word.
Wakuchao na wanione na kufurahi, Kwa sababu nimelingojea neno lako.
75 I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right,
And that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
Najua ya kuwa hukumu zako ni za haki, Ee Bwana, na kwa uaminifu umenitesa.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort,
According to thy word unto thy servant.
Nakuomba, fadhili zako ziwe faraja kwangu, Sawasawa na ahadi yako kwa mtumishi wako.
77 Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live:
For thy law is my delight.
Rehema zako zinijie nipate kuishi, Maana sheria yako ni furaha yangu.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause:
But I will meditate in thy precepts.
Wenye kiburi waaibike, maana wamenidhulumu kwa uongo, Mimi nitayatafakari mausia yako.
79 Let those that fear thee turn unto me,
And those that have known thy testimonies.
Wakuchao na wanirudie, Nao watazijua shuhuda zako.
80 Let my heart be sound in thy statutes;
That I be not ashamed.
Moyo wangu na uwe mkamilifu katika amri zako, Nisije mimi nikaaibika.
81 My soul fainteth for thy salvation:
But I hope in thy word.
Nafsi yangu imefifia kwa kuutamani wokovu wako, Nimelingojea neno lako.
82 Mine eyes fail for thy word,
Saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Macho yangu yamefifia kwa kuitazamia ahadi yako, Nisemapo, Lini utakaponifariji?
83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke;
Yet do I not forget thy statutes.
Maana nimekuwa kama kiriba katika moshi, Sikuzisahau amri zako.
84 How many are the days of thy servant?
When wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
Siku za mtumishi wako ni ngapi, Lini utakapowahukumu wale wanaonifuatia?
85 The proud have digged pits for me,
Which are not after thy law.
Wenye kiburi wamenichimbia mashimo, Ambao hawaifuati sheria yako.
86 All thy commandments are faithful:
They persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.
Maagizo yako yote ni amini, Wananifuatia bure, unisaidie.
87 They had almost consumed me upon earth;
But I forsook not thy precepts.
Walikuwa karibu na kunikomesha katika nchi, Lakini sikuyaacha mausia yako.
88 Quicken me after thy lovingkindness;
So shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.
Unihuishe kwa fadhili zako, Nami nitazishika shuhuda za kinywa chako.
89 For ever, O LORD, Thy word
Is settled in heaven.
Ee Bwana, neno lako lasimama Imara mbinguni hata milele.
90 Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
Uaminifu wako upo kizazi baada ya kizazi, Umeiweka nchi, nayo inakaa.
91 They continue this day according to thine ordinances:
For all are thy servants.
Kwa hukumu zako vimesimama imara hata leo, Maana vitu vyote ni watumishi wako.
92 Unless thy law had been my delights,
I should then have perished in mine affliction.
Kama sheria yako isingalikuwa furaha yangu, Hapo ningalipotea katika taabu zangu.
93 I will never forget thy precepts:
For with them thou hast quickened me.
Hata milele sitayasahau maagizo yako, Maana kwa hayo umenihuisha.
94 I am thine, save me;
For I have sought thy precepts.
Mimi ni wako, uniokoe, Kwa maana nimejifunza mausia yako.
95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me:
But I will consider thy testimonies.
Wasio haki wameniotea ili kunipoteza, Nitazitafakari shuhuda zako.
96 I have seen an end of all perfection:
But thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Nimeona ukamilifu wote kuwa na mwisho, Bali agizo lako ni pana mno.
97 O how love I thy law!
It is my meditation all the day.
Sheria yako naipenda mno ajabu, Ndiyo kutafakari kwangu mchana kutwa.
98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies:
For they are ever with me.
Maagizo yako hunitia hekima kuliko adui zangu, Kwa maana ninayo sikuzote.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers:
For thy testimonies are my meditation.
Ninazo akili kuliko wakufunzi wangu wote, Maana shuhuda zako ndizo nizifikirizo.
100 I understand more than the ancients,
Because I keep thy precepts.
Ninao ufahamu kuliko wazee, Kwa kuwa nimeyashika mausia yako.
101 I have refrained my feet from every evil way,
That I might keep thy word.
Nimeiepusha miguu yangu na kila njia mbaya, Ili nilitii neno lako.
102 I have not departed
From thy judgments: For thou hast taught me.
Sikujiepusha na hukumu zako, Maana Wewe mwenyewe umenifundisha.
103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste!
Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Mausia yako ni matamu sana kwangu, Kupita asali kinywani mwangu.
104 Through thy precepts I get understanding:
Therefore I hate every false way.
Kwa mausia yako najipatia ufahamu, Ndiyo maana naichukia kila njia ya uongo.
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
And a light unto my path.
Neno lako ni taa ya miguu yangu, Na mwanga wa njia yangu.
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it ,
That I will keep thy righteous judgments.
Nimeapa nami nitaifikiliza, Kuzishika hukumu za haki yako.
107 I am afflicted very much:
Quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.
Nimeteswa mno; Ee Bwana, unihuishe sawasawa na neno lako.
108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD,
And teach me thy judgments.
Ee Bwana, uziridhie sadaka za kinywa changu, Na kunifundisha hukumu zako.
109 My soul is continually in my hand:
Yet do I not forget thy law.
Nafsi yangu imo mkononi mwangu daima, Lakini sheria yako sikuisahau.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me:
Yet I erred not from thy precepts.
Watendao uovu wamenitegea mtego, Lakini sikuikosa njia ya mausia yako.
111 Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Shuhuda zako nimezifanya urithi wa milele, Maana ndizo changamko la moyo wangu.
112 I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes
Alway, even unto the end.
Nimeuelekeza moyo wangu nizitende amri zako, Daima, naam, hata milele.
113 I hate vain thoughts:
But thy law do I love.
Watu wa kusita-sita nawachukia, Lakini sheria yako naipenda.
114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield:
I hope in thy word.
Ndiwe sitara yangu na ngao yangu, Neno lako nimelingojea.
115 Depart from me, ye evildoers:
For I will keep the commandments of my God.
Enyi watenda mabaya, ondokeni kwangu, Niyashike maagizo ya Mungu wangu.
116 Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live:
And let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Unitegemeze sawasawa na ahadi yako, nikaishi, Wala usiniache niyaaibikie matumaini yangu.
117 Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe:
And I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
Unisaidie nami nitakuwa salama, Nami nitaziangalia amri zako daima.
118 Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes:
For their deceit is falsehood.
Umewakataa wote wazikosao amri zako, Kwa maana hila zao ni uongo.
119 Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross:
Therefore I love thy testimonies.
Wabaya wa nchi pia umewaondoa kama takataka, Ndiyo maana nimezipenda shuhuda zako.
120 My flesh trembleth for fear of thee;
And I am afraid of thy judgments.
Mwili wangu unatetemeka kwa kukucha Wewe, Nami ninaziogopa hukumu zako.
121 I have done judgment and justice:
Leave me not to mine oppressors.
Nimefanya hukumu na haki, Usiniache mikononi mwao wanaonionea.
122 Be surety for thy servant for good:
Let not the proud oppress me.
Uwe mdhamini wa mtumishi wako, apate mema, Wenye kiburi wasinionee.
123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation,
And for the word of thy righteousness.
Macho yangu yamefifia kwa kuutamani wokovu wako, Na ahadi ya haki yako.
124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy,
And teach me thy statutes.
Kama zilivyo rehema zako umtendee mtumishi wako, Na amri zako unifundishe.
125 I am thy servant; give me understanding,
That I may know thy testimonies.
Mimi ni mtumishi wako, unifahamishe, Nipate kuzijua shuhuda zako.
126 It is time for thee, LORD , to work:
For they have made void thy law.
Wakati umewadia Bwana atende kazi; Kwa kuwa wameitangua sheria yako.
127 Therefore I love thy commandments
Above gold; yea, above fine gold.
Ndiyo maana nimeyapenda maagizo yako, Kuliko dhahabu, naam, dhahabu iliyo safi.
128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right;
And I hate every false way.
Maana nayaona mausia yako yote kuwa ya adili, Kila njia ya uongo naichukia.
129 Thy testimonies are wonderful:
Therefore doth my soul keep them.
Shuhuda zako ni za ajabu, Ndiyo maana roho yangu imezishika.
130 The entrance of thy words giveth light;
It giveth understanding unto the simple.
Kufafanusha maneno yako kwatia nuru, Na kumfahamisha mjinga.
131 I opened my mouth, and panted:
For I longed for thy commandments.
Nalifunua kinywa changu nikatweta, Maana naliyatamani maagizo yako.
132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me,
As thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
Unigeukie, unirehemu mimi, Kama iwahusuvyo walipendao jina lako.
133 Order my steps in thy word:
And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Uzielekeze hatua zangu kwa neno lako, Uovu usije ukanimiliki.
134 Deliver me from the oppression of man:
So will I keep thy precepts.
Unikomboe na dhuluma ya mwanadamu, Nipate kuyashika mausia yako.
135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant;
And teach me thy statutes.
Umwangazie mtumishi wako uso wako, Na kunifundisha amri zako.
136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes,
Because they keep not thy law.
Macho yangu yachuruzika mito ya maji, Kwa sababu hawaitii sheria yako.
137 Righteous art thou, O LORD,
And upright are thy judgments.
Ee Bwana, Wewe ndiwe mwenye haki, Na hukumu zako ni za adili.
138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded
are righteous and very faithful.
Umeziagiza shuhuda zako kwa haki, Na kwa uaminifu mwingi.
139 My zeal hath consumed me,
Because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
Juhudi yangu imeniangamiza, Maana watesi wangu wameyasahau maneno yako.
140 Thy word is very pure:
Therefore thy servant loveth it.
Neno lako limesafika sana, Kwa hiyo mtumishi wako amelipenda.
141 I am small and despised:
Yet do not I forget thy precepts.
Mimi ni mdogo, nadharauliwa, Lakini siyasahau mausia yako.
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,
And thy law is the truth.
Haki yako ni haki ya milele, Na sheria yako ni kweli.
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me:
Yet thy commandments are my delights.
Taabu na dhiki zimenipata, Maagizo yako ni furaha yangu.
144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting:
Give me understanding, and I shall live.
Haki ya shuhuda zako ni ya milele, Unifahamishe, nami nitaishi.
145 I cried with my whole heart;
hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.
Nimeita kwa moyo wangu wote; Ee Bwana, uitike; Nitazishika amri zako.
146 I cried unto thee;
save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.
Nimekuita Wewe, uniokoe, Nami nitazishika shuhuda zako.
147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried:
I hoped in thy word.
Kutangulia mapambazuko naliomba msaada, Naliyangojea maneno yako kwa tumaini.
148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches,
That I might meditate in thy word.
Macho yangu yalitangulia makesha ya usiku, Ili kuitafakari ahadi yako.
149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness:
O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.
Uisikie sauti yangu sawasawa na fadhili zako, Ee Bwana, unihuishe sawasawa na hukumu yako.
150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief:
They are far from thy law.
Wanakaribia wanaonifuatia kwa chuki, Wamekwenda mbali na sheria yako.
151 Thou art near, O LORD;
And all thy commandments are truth.
Ee Bwana, Wewe U karibu, Na maagizo yako yote ni kweli.
152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old
That thou hast founded them for ever.
Tokea zamani nimejua kwa shuhuda zako, Ya kuwa umeziweka zikae milele.
153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me:
For I do not forget thy law.
Uyaangalie mateso yangu, uniokoe, Maana sikuisahau sheria yako.
154 Plead my cause, and deliver me:
Quicken me according to thy word.
Unitetee na kunikomboa, Unihuishe sawasawa na ahadi yako.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked:
For they seek not thy statutes.
Wokovu u mbali na wasio haki, Kwa maana hawajifunzi amri zako.
156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD:
Quicken me according to thy judgments.
Ee Bwana, rehema zako ni nyingi, Unihuishe sawasawa na hukumu zako.
157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies;
Yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.
Wanaonifuatia na watesi wangu ni wengi, Lakini sikujiepusha na shuhuda zako.
158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved;
Because they kept not thy word.
Nimewaona watendao uhaini nikachukizwa, Kwa sababu hawakulitii neno lako.
159 Consider how I love thy precepts:
Quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
Uangalie niyapendavyo mausia yako, Ee Bwana, unihuishe sawasawa na fadhili zako.
160 Thy word is true from the beginning:
And every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Jumla ya neno lako ni kweli, Na kila hukumu ya haki yako ni ya milele.
161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause:
But my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
Wakuu wameniudhi bure, Ila moyo wangu unayahofia maneno yako.
162 I rejoice at thy word,
As one that findeth great spoil.
Naifurahia ahadi yako, Kama apataye mateka mengi.
163 I hate and abhor lying:
But thy law do I love.
Nimeuchukia uongo, umenikirihi, Sheria yako nimeipenda.
164 Seven times a day do I praise thee
Because of thy righteous judgments.
Mara saba kila siku nakusifu, Kwa sababu ya hukumu za haki yako.
165 Great peace have they which love thy law:
And nothing shall offend them.
Wana amani nyingi waipendao sheria yako, Wala hawana la kuwakwaza.
166 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation,
And done thy commandments.
Ee Bwana, nimeungojea wokovu wako, Na maagizo yako nimeyatenda.
167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies;
And I love them exceedingly.
Nafsi yangu imezishika shuhuda zako, Nami nazipenda mno.
168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies:
For all my ways are before thee.
Nimeyashika mausia yako na shuhuda zako, Maana njia zangu zote zi mbele zako.
169 Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD:
Give me understanding according to thy word.
Ee Bwana, kilio changu na kikukaribie, Unifahamishe sawasawa na neno lako.
170 Let my supplication come before thee:
Deliver me according to thy word.
Dua yangu na ifike mbele zako, Uniponye sawasawa na ahadi yako.
171 My lips shall utter praise,
When thou hast taught me thy statutes.
Midomo yangu na itoe sifa, Kwa kuwa unanifundisha mausia yako.
172 My tongue shall speak of thy word:
For all thy commandments are righteousness.
Ulimi wangu na uiimbe ahadi yako, Maana maagizo yako yote ni ya haki.
173 Let thine hand help me;
For I have chosen thy precepts.
Mkono wako na uwe tayari kunisaidia, Maana nimeyachagua mausia yako.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD;
And thy law is my delight.
Ee Bwana, nimeutamani wokovu wako, Na sheria yako ndiyo furaha yangu.
175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee;
And let thy judgments help me.
Nafsi yangu na iishi, ipate kukusifu, Na hukumu zako zinisaidie.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep;
seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.
Nimetanga-tanga kama kondoo aliyepotea; Umtafute mtumishi wako; Kwa maana sikuyasahau maagizo yako.
