His Princes
1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
Basi mfalme Sulemani akawa mfalme juu ya Israeli wote.
2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
Na hawa ndio wakuu aliokuwa nao; Azaria mwana wa Sadoki, kuhani,
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
Elihorefu na Ahiya, wana wa Shausha, waandishi; Yehoshafati mwana wa Ahiludi mwenye kuandika tarehe;
4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
na Benaya mwana wa Yehoyada alikuwa juu ya jeshi; na Sadoki na Abiathari walikuwa makuhani;
5 and Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:
na Azaria mwana wa Nathani alikuwa juu ya maakida; na Zabudi mwana wa Nathani alikuwa kuhani, rafiki wake mfalme.
6 and Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
Na Ahishari alikuwa juu ya nyumba; na Adoramu mwana wa Abda alikuwa juu ya shokoa.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
Sulemani alikuwa na maakida kumi na wawili juu ya Israeli wote, walioleta chakula cha mfalme na nyumba yake; kila mtu alikuwa na mwezi mmoja katika mwaka kuleta chakula.
8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
Na haya ndiyo majina yao. Mwana wa Huri, mlimani mwa Efraimu.
9 the son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:
Mwana wa Dekari, kutoka Makasi, na Shaalbimu na Bethshemeshi na Elon-beth-hanani.
10 the son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
Mwana wa Hesedi, katika Arubothi; na Soko ilikuwa kwake na nchi yote ya Heferi.
11 the son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
Mwana wa Abinadabu katika Nafath-dori yote; ndiye aliyekuwa naye Tafathi binti Sulemani kuwa mke wake.
12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
Baana mwana wa Ahiludi, katika Taanaki na Megido, na Beth-sheani yote, iliyo kando ya Sarethani, chini ya Yezreeli, tangu Beth-sheani mpaka Abel-mehola, hata kupita Yokmeamu.
13 the son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
Mwana wa Geberi katika Ramoth-gileadi; na kwake ilikuwa miji ya Yairi mwana wa Manase iliyomo Gileadi; na kwake ilikuwa wilaya ya Argobu, iliyomo Bashani, miji mikubwa sitini yenye kuta na makomeo ya shaba.
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
Ahinadabu mwana wa Ido, katika Mahanaimu.
15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
Ahimaasi, katika Naftali; naye ndiye aliyemwoa Basemathi binti Sulemani.
16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
Baana mwana wa Hushai, katika Asheri na Bealothi.
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
Yehoshafati mwana wa Parua, katika Isakari.
18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
Shimei mwana wa Ela, katika Benyamini.
19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
Geberi mwana wa Uri, katika nchi ya Gileadi, nchi ya Sihoni mfalme wa Waamori, na Ogu mfalme wa Bashani; naye alikuwa akida wa pekee katika nchi hiyo.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
Yuda na Israeli walikuwa wengi kama mchanga wa pwani kwa wingi, wakila, na kunywa, na kufurahi.
21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Sulemani akatawala juu ya falme zote, toka Mto mpaka nchi ya Wafilisti, na hata mpaka wa Misri; walimletea tunu, na kumtumikia Sulemani siku zote za maisha yake.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
Na vyakula vya Sulemani vya siku moja vilikuwa kori therathini za unga wa mzuri, na kori sitini za ngano.
23 ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallow deer, and fatted fowl.
na ng'ombe kumi walionona, na ng'ombe ishirini za malisho, na kondoo mia, pamoja na ayala, na paa, na kulungu, na kuku walionona.
24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
Kwani alikuwa akitawala nchi yote upande huu wa Mto, toka Tifsa mpaka Gaza, juu ya wafalme wote wa upande huu wa Mto; naye alikuwa na amani pande zake zote.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
Yuda na Israeli wakakaa salama, kila mtu chini ya mzabibu wake na chini ya mtini wake, tokea Dani mpaka Beer-sheba, siku zote za Sulemani.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Tena Sulemani alikuwa na mabanda ya farasi arobaini elfu kwa magari yake, na wapandao farasi kumi na mbili elfu.
27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
Na maakida wale wakaleta chakula kwa mfalme Sulemani na kwa wote walioijia meza ya mfalme Sulemani, kila mtu katika mwezi wake, kisipunguke kitu.
28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
Shayiri pia na majani kwa farasi, na kwa wanyama wenye mbio, wakaleta mahali walipokuwapo, kila mtu kwa kadiri ya kazi yake.
29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
Mungu akampa Sulemani hekima, na akili nyingi sana, na moyo mkuu, kama mchanga ulioko pwani.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Hekima ya Sulemani ikapita hekima ya wana wote wa mashariki, na hekima zote za Misri.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
Kwa kuwa alikuwa na hekima kuliko watu wote; kuliko Ethani Mwezrahi, na Hemani, na Kalkoli, na Darda, wana wa Maholi; zikaenea sifa zake kati ya mataifa yote yaliyozunguka.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
Naye akanena mifano elfu tatu, na nyimbo zake zilikuwa elfu moja na tano.
33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
Akanena habari za miti tangu mwerezi ulioko Lebanoni hata hisopo umeao ukutani; pia akanena habari za wanyama, na za ndege, na vitambaavyo, na samaki.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
Wakaja wa mataifa yote ili waisikie hekima ya Sulemani, toka wafalme wote wa ulimwengu, waliokuwa wamepata habari za hekima yake.
