A Psalm of David.
1 Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Mpeni Bwana, enyi wana wa Mungu, Mpeni Bwana utukufu na nguvu;
2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name;
Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Mpeni Bwana utukufu wa jina lake; Mwabuduni Bwana kwa uzuri wa utakatifu.
3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters:
The God of glory thundereth:
The LORD is upon many waters.
Sauti ya Bwana i juu ya maji; Mungu wa utukufu alipiga radi; Bwana yu juu ya maji mengi.
4 The voice of the LORD is powerful;
The voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
Sauti ya Bwana ina nguvu; Sauti ya Bwana ina adhama;
5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars;
Yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
Sauti ya Bwana yaivunja mierezi; Naam, Bwana aivunja-vunja mierezi ya Lebanoni;
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf;
Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
Airusha-rusha kama ndama wa ng'ombe; Lebanoni na Sirioni kama mwana-nyati.
7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.
Sauti ya Bwana yaipasua miali ya moto;
8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
Sauti ya Bwana yalitetemesha jangwa; Bwana alitetemesha jangwa la Kadeshi.
9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests:
And in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
Sauti ya Bwana yawazalisha ayala, Na kuifichua misitu; Na ndani ya hekalu lake Wanasema wote, Utukufu.
10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood;
Yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.
Bwana aliketi juu ya Gharika; Naam, Bwana ameketi hali ya mfalme milele.
11 The LORD will give strength unto his people;
The LORD will bless his people with peace.
Bwana atawapa watu wake nguvu; Bwana atawabariki watu wake kwa amani.
