1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song,
And his praise in the congregation of saints.
Haleluya. Mwimbieni Bwana wimbo mpya, Sifa zake katika kusanyiko la watauwa.
2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Israeli na amfurahie Yeye aliyemfanya, Wana wa Sayuni na wamshangilie mfalme wao.
3 Let them praise his name in the dance:
Let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Na walisifu jina lake kwa kucheza, Kwa matari na kinubi wamwimbie.
4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people:
He will beautify the meek with salvation.
Kwa kuwa Bwana awaridhia watu wake, Huwapamba wenye upole kwa wokovu.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory:
Let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Watauwa na waushangilie utukufu, Waimbe kwa sauti kuu vitandani mwao.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a twoedged sword in their hand;
Sifa kuu za Mungu na ziwe vinywani mwao, Na upanga mkali kuwili mikononi mwao.
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen,
And punishments upon the people;
Ili kufanya kisasi juu ya mataifa, Na adhabu juu ya kabila za watu.
8 To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
Wawafunge wafalme wao kwa minyororo, Na wakuu wao kwa pingu za chuma.
9 To execute upon them the judgment written:
This honour have all his saints.
Praise ye the LORD.
Kuwafanyia hukumu iliyoandikwa; Hiyo ndiyo heshima ya watauwa wake wote. Haleluya.
